For Republic Clone heroes, characters receive a variant of the basic Human template. They receive special training better suited to heroic careers, and many have Destinies that stretch out beyond the Clone Wars. Instead, the player could choose to play an ARC Trooper or a Republic Clone Commando, both unit types are Clones based on the original Jango Fett template, but they have more of Fett's personality and fewer behavioral restrictions than standard Clone Troopers. This can stifle players who want more free will. ![]() The basic Republic Clone is bred for obedience and military discipline. Gamemasters should allow players to play Clone Trooper heroes who stand out from the rank-and-file Clone Troopers. Clone Trooper heroes can be interesting and present exciting story opportunities, especially for a Gamemaster who plans to use Order 66 in the campaign finale. Given the prominence of Clones in the story of the Clone Wars, Gamemasters should not be surprised if players wish to play Clone characters.
